Home-Based Groomer
AKC S.A.F.E. Certified Groomer
My love of dogs and passion for animal welfare led me to jobs in the Animal Care Industry. I’ve worked with animals of all species and breeds as an Animal Care Technician, a Kennel Technician, and a Certified Veterinary Assistant in multiple hospitals and facilities. As a Certified Veterinary Assistant, I learned the value of proper animal health and maintenance, which led me to discover my calling for Dog Grooming.
As an AKC S.A.F.E. Certified Groomer, I strive to provide quality grooms while ensuring that your four-legged friend receives the best care and love. Their happiness and comfort are my priority to create everlasting relationships with animals and owners alike. You can have confidence that while your fur baby is in my care, I’ll treat them like my own and get them looking and feeling their best!
The amount of time it takes for pet grooming varies by breed and service, but you can usually plan on it taking at least 2-4 hours. Nail trims take approximately 15 minutes. Wait time may apply.
Prices are based on the size of the dog, the condition of the coat, and their temperament. In order to get a price estimate before your appointment, we recommend contacting us.
Pets who have recently been vaccinated, have active infections or have underlying health issues are at higher risk of injury from stress. Older pets, those with special challenges, pets who have recently experienced stressful life changes or injuries are at higher risk of experiencing stress or aggravating a condition during grooming. Be sure to mention any special conditions to your groomer and note all pertinent information.
We never sedate pets, nor do we accept pets who have been sedated. If your dog has been known to have a strong behavioral reaction to grooming or bathing, please advise us when making the appointment and when dropping off. If a pet is truly uncooperative or made uncomfortable by the process, we might end the session – but we will never sedate your pet.
We operate by appointment only since
Bubbles Barks and Beyond is a home-based grooming salon.
Dogs should be bathed at least once every 2 to 3 months, but not more than once a week.
While the timing can differ between dog breeds, according to the American Kennel Club, for most breeds you should have your dog groomed once a month.
Just like with people, it’s ideal to brush teeth daily. If you don’t have time for that, brushing teeth at least once a week will suffice, though the more often the better.
Use a toothbrush and toothpaste that is designed specifically for dogs to brush their teeth. Dog toothpaste comes in many appealing flavors like peanut butter, beef, and chicken. Try different combinations of toothpaste and toothbrushes to see what suits you and your pup best. If your dog does not tolerate teeth brushing there are other alternatives such as dental chews, dental spray, and dental water additives for dogs. The best way to maintain your furry friend's dental hygiene is through regular professional veterinarian cleanings.
It is recommended once a month. Breeds with long, floppy ears or dogs who swim frequently may need to have their ears cleaned every other week, or even weekly. If dogs are prone to ear infections your vet may prescribe an ear cleanser and a topical medication for you to use at home.
There are tools that are available to aid in the dematting of dogs, but some tools require professional handling. Tools that may be used with care at home would include a slicker brush and a comb. It may help to use detangling spray while brushing your dog. If the matting on your dog is severe, the safest and most humane way to remove the mats would be to clip their hair short. We do not recommend doing that at home!
All dogs shed year-round, very much like we do. Although De-shedding doesn’t stop the shedding process, it is beneficial and significantly reduces the amount of hair on your dog.
